Sometimes the colors in our world are sharp and vibrant.
Sunlight is pouring in.
Life seems to have a good rhythm or flow.
Then dark times uninvited begin.
We are unsure of which way to think, which way to look, which way to go.
It’s in those times we are tested. Will our trial serve to help us grow?
Will we decide to weather the storm, not giving in to Satan’s “jump ship” ploy?
Will we decide to look beyond the hardships…to choose and keep choosing joy?
We choose to press in through the pain to give birth to inner calm or peace.
We decide which dining table we will linger at and feast.
Will we feast on fearful feelings, or will we feast on better fruit?
Fruit from the tree of life that will cause joy to deeply root.
Fruit like thankfulness, gratitude, and 🎶blessed assurance Jesus is mine.🎶
🎶Oh what a foretaste, 🎶
He gives faith for the future, so I leave fretful thoughts behind.
I know what it’s like to have immense happiness when all is going well.
Then there are the hours, days, or months which felt things were a big fail.
The light is dim. Life’s color isn’t vibrant or crystal clear.
It was blurred by tears, but that’s why I kept these reminders near:
“thankful,” “grateful,” “blessed”
“Choose joy,” “Be Joyful,” “Give it to God and Go to Sleep”
This is a window inside my world, because TRUTH is strong when I am weak.
It’s what has carried me. It’s what clears my view. How can I despair in difficulties with eyes fixed on gratitude?
I’m going to see a victory because the battle belongs to my Lord.
I turn my eyes upon Jesus, because He still has good in store.
I turn my eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face.
Then the trials of life grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.
There is joy that only goes deep when one is deeply pressed.
May a heart of thanks and gratitude help me see…I still am truly blessed!
May a heart of thanks and gratitude help you see…YOU STILL are truly blessed.

Turn Your Eyes
By Lauren Diagle
Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace
Oh soul are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior
And life more abundant and free
Through death into life everlasting
He passed and we follow Him there
O’er us sin no more hath dominion
For more than conquerors we are
Oh, turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace
His word shall not fail you, He promised
Believe Him and all will be well
Then go to a world that is dying
His perfect salvation to tell
Oh, turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
Oh, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace
Oh, turn your, oh, turn your
Oh, turn your eyes upon Jesus
Oh, turn your, hey, oh, turn your
Oh, turn your eyes upon Jesus
Oh, turn your, oh, turn your
Oh, turn your eyes upon Jesus
Oh, turn your, oh, turn your
Oh, turn your eyes upon Jesus
Oh, turn your, oh, turn your
Oh, turn your eyes upon Jesus
Oh, turn your (oh, turn), oh, turn your
Oh, turn your eyes upon Jesus
